The Wall Street Journal's local New York blog Monday highlighted a new Wyndham Garden Hotel getting ready to open.

Since so many hotels are opening in Manhattan these days, I figured it's worth bringing this one to your attention — especially since it's reasonably priced (well, for New York City!).

On Nov. 1, the Wyndham Garden Hotel will open at 93 Bowery St., at the corner of Bowery and Hester streets, the blog says. Rates will start at $225.

Hotel Check-In checked out the hotel's website to find out more.

The 106-room property is located one block from Little Italy and two blocks from SoHo. The hotel also has a ballroom with an outdoor terrace with "spectacular views overlooking the Big Apple," the site says.

What guest rooms will look like at the Wyndham Garden Chinatown hotel, set to open in New York on Nov. 1.

The hotel has an atrium on the ground floor; all guest rooms will have floor-to-ceiling windows. The hotel occupies 18 stories, so many of the rooms should have decent views.

Guests will find a 32-inch flat screen TV in their room.

One suite, the site says, has a private furnished outdoor terrace, bathtub, sofa bed and living room area.

For dining, the hotel will have a casual bistro called Elevate Restaurant and Lounge that sells Japanese cuisine and cocktails.

"We are targeting the high-end fashion and entertainment corporate clients," hotel manager Shequan Smith told the Journal.
