USATODAY
Carrie Underwood brings her "BLOWN AWAY" tour to the Bridgestone Arena on September 23, 2012 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Times are tough at country radio for most female artists these days, so Carrie Underwood got some good news this week, as her Blown Away single topped the USA TODAY Country airplay chart for a second week. With an additional week at No. 1 for Good Girl earlier this year, Carrie becomes the only female artist to spend three weeks at the top of the country airplay charts this year. Additionally, Carrie sold 55,000 downloads of Blown Away last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Other notable achivements this week: Casey James passes the 100,000 mark for his current single, Crying on a Suitcase. Scotty McCreery sold 41,000 copies of his new Christmas With Scotty, and fans downloaded an additional 2,000 copies of one of the new songs, Christmas in Heaven. And Colton Dixon, who has signed with Christian label Sparrow Records, has sold 28,000 tracks of his first new track, Never Gone. A second single, You Are, went to Christian radio this week.

I know it's been a long time since I've had American Idol sales updates, and I apologize. I hope to have some additional data later in the day, but you guys have been waiting so long for anything from me that I wanted to get some information posted as soon as I could today. The preceding tracks represent the top-selling Idol tracks in the country and Christian fields. Hopefully, I'll have some pop stuff, like Kelly Clarkson and Phillip Phillips, to post later.
