Phillip Phillips hits 2 million mark with 'Home'

Phillip Phillips becomes the first American Idol winner to top 2 million sales with his coronation single this week. Phillips sold 81,000 downloads of Home last week, according to Nielsen SoundScan, pushing its release-to-date sales to 2.08 million.

Previous winners Kelly Clarkson and David Cook both sold more than a million copies of their coronation singles.

Phillips is scheduled to sing the national anthem at the first game of the World Series tonight. His debut album, The World From the Side of the Moon, comes out Nov. 19 on 19 Entertainment/Interscope Records.

Also, Kelly Clarkson's new single, Catch My Breath, debuts this week, with 87,000 downloads.
