This March 30, 2012, file photo shows Scotty McCreery performing at a concert hosted by The Academy of Country Music at the ACM Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas. The platinum-selling teen and former "American Idol" champ began his freshman year at North Carolina State University recently and he's managed to work out a schedule that allows him to balance his college education with his country music education.

Scotty McCreery fans are getting into the holiday spirit, giving the American Idol Season 10 an early Christmas present in the form of a Top Five debut for Christmas With Scotty. The young singer's holiday album made its debut at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, selling 41,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
