Justin Hartley appears on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Monday and reacts to those James Bond rumors.

The name is Hartley, Justin Hartley. And he is rumored to be in the running for the next James Bond.

The "This is Us" actor appears on Ellen DeGeneres' show Monday where the comedian asked if the Bond casting rumors were true.

"Is this true – I heard that your name is on a list after Daniel Craig being James Bond, when he's done you are one of the names that they're talking about being James Bond," she inquired..

"Cool," Hartley said.

Cool, calm and collected is the epitome of the character, and it looks like the 42-year-old has that down. At least we thought so until DeGeneres had Hartley prepare for the role by handing him a martini and lines to see if he could pull off the suave Bond charm.

Playing Bond isn't as easy as we thought.

Hartley served up the classic: "This is Bond, James Bond," but comically fumbled while taking a sip of his martini which landed everywhere but his mouth.

That wasn't the only opportunity for audience members to laugh during Monday's interview. In honor of her guest's birthday on Jan. 29, DeGeneres showed "a shirtless birthday photo in (his) birthday suit," a photoshopped picture of Hartley naked, holding a birthday cake.

Hartley joked that following the exposure of that photo, he's not so sure he'll be top of the list to play Bond.

Rumors on who could be the next Bond after Daniel Craig have been swirling and mentioned stars from Idris Elba to Richard Madden.
