Santa himself (aka author Sal Lizard) offers some do's and don't's in case you ever want to don the red suit:
- Encourage children to be good. Santa's always checking his lists!
- Encourage children to have fun and to help spread Christmas cheer, sing Christmas carols for all to hear!
- Show up to parties and events prepared and on time. A generic shopping bag is not the same as your genuine Santa sack.
- Remember that children pay close attention, and understand more than you think, so be careful what you say and do.
Santa dont's
- Don't ever promise a child she'll get what she asks for.
- Don't ever embarrass a child who might have had an accident.
- Don't ever pass up milk and cookies (especially chocolate chip!).
- Don't forget to ask yourself "What Would Santa Do?"
- Don't miss an event because of a snowstorm. Santa's sleigh is unstoppable.
