About THAT big reveal on ‘The Walking Dead’ last night

Spoiler alert! The following contains details from Sunday’s episode of The Walking Dead

Well, we probably should have seen that one coming.

Last night’s Walking Dead revealed that Eugene, the mullet-clad man who was expected to save the human race with the power of science, was totally and completely full of it. He’s not a scientist, he can’t save anyone or stop the zombie virus or anything. He’s just a dude with a mullet who’s "a little smarter than everyone else" and a lot better at lying.



While many (read: all) fans may have seen this coming, it’s still a pretty big deal for our survivors, especially given the insights we got into Abraham’s past this episode. When he had lost everything, Eugene gave Abraham a mission. And now that mission is deader than a zombie. Abraham’s attack on Eugene at the end of the episode — which may or may not have been fatal — probably won’t be the last fallout from this news.

And while Eugene’s confession may have been the big plot point, the episode spent quite a bit of time discussing his mullet and why a world-saving scientist would have a mullet at all. And if there was one things that had fans talking, it was definitely this hairstyle choice:
