So about that insane episode of 'Homeland' last night

Spoiler alert! The following contains details from Sunday night's episode of Homeland

Homeland is back to killer form.

We certainly think so. Sunday night's explosive episode of the Showtime series was an incredible hour of television. Centered around a prisoner exchange between the CIA and the Taliban, the conclusion of the nail-biter left us gasping/screaming -- which is what, greaming?

For starters, this is the Carrie (Claire Danes) that we've been missing:

The prisoner trade did not go as planned, to say the least. When Saul and Carrie's convoy was en route to the embassy we probably should have seen the explosion coming. Carrie had the sixth sense that there was something else going on, and she was right. And maybe that dread made the inevitable attack on the convoy more devastating. We were only left with questions.

Who lives? Who dies?

That episode just blew us away. We mean that literally and figuratively. And left the embassy open to invasion.

A few of the reactions of other fans best sum up our mental state when the episode was over.

And now we have to wait until next week to see how this mayhem turns out.
