Maddie & Tae celebrated No. 1 with Shania

When Maddie & Tae's Girl in a Country Song went No. 1 last week, they got congratulatory tweets and texts from some of their favorite entertainers, including Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley and Pretty Little Liars star Lucy Hale.

But nothing was cooler than finding out they had the top country record in the nation and meeting Shania Twain — on the same night!

While playing a couple shows in Las Vegas recently, the duo attended one of Twain's concerts at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

"We had a day off in between the shows, so we were like, 'Let's go see Shania in concert in Vegas,'" Maddie Marlow said on the red carpet at Monday's American Country Countdown Awards in Nashville. "It was not a bad way to celebrate at all."

Now, Marlow may not want to be a stereotypical "girl in a country song," but when she heads home to Texas for the holidays, she's going hunting — "dove next week and then the next week's going to be deer."

Her duo partner, Taylor (Tae) Dye, can't wait. "She's going to bring me some deer meat."
