Russell Crowe, Jimmy Fallon play nail-biting game of 'Box of Lies'

The trouble with playing Box of Lies with a good actor is you never really know if he or she is telling the truth.

On Thursday's Tonight Show, Russell Crowe joined Jimmy Fallon for a game all about deception. You can either tell your opponent the truth about the contents of your box and hope that he/she thinks you're lying, or you can lie about what's in your box and hope he/she thinks you're telling the truth. Time to show Fallon why you won that Oscar, Crowe!

The first object that The Nice Guys star pulled out of a box was a toy xylophone with tiny dogs attached to it. Fallon guessed he was lying because he reasoned that he would've heard the instrument. Point Crowe.

Then the late night host successfully fooled his guest into thinking that he was fibbing about his box containing a junk drawer. For the game point, Crowe needed to make Fallon believe he was lying about his box holding a starfish wearing baby hands. Seriously, how do they come up with this stuff?

Click play to find out who got the last point for all the marbles, which we're sure are actually in another game box affixed to a cheese sculpture of a frog and cat on a bicycle.
