6 delectable Thanksgiving recipes from your favorite celebs

Did you miss the memo to hit the grocery store Sunday? Still scrambling to find a quick Turkey Day recipe? Are you willing to spice it up a little?

If you answered yes to any of the above, you're in luck. In honor of the fast-approaching holiday, we here at Entertain This! have rounded up six easy Thanksgiving dishes from some of your favorite celebrities.

Check out the recipes below (and try not to drool too much).

1. Turkey

You’ll need: 

  • 1 18- to 21-pound fresh turkey, thawed if frozen. (Save the giblets for the gravy.) 
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • Grated zest of 1 lemon
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
  • 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh thyme leaves
  • 3 teaspoons coarse salt, plus more for seasoning
  • 1 ½ teaspoons freshly ground pepper, plus more for seasoning
  • 3-4 lemons, each cut into quarters
  • 2-3 onions, each cut into 6 wedges
  • 1 cup dry white wine or water
  • 3 cups Giblet Stock or homemade or low-sodium canned chicken stock

2. Macaroni and cheese

You’ll need: 

  • Kosher salt
  • 1 pound pasta shells
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 stick (4 ounces) unsalted butter, plus more for greasing the baking dish
  • 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 5 cups whole milk
  • 3 cups cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups grated Gruyère cheese or Swiss cheese, supposedly (We’d recommend being stingy with this as the Swiss can be overwhelming.)  
  • ¾ pound orange American cheese (about 16 slices)
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • ¾ teaspoon cayenne pepper, or more to taste

For the garlic bread crumbs

  • 8 slices white sandwich bread, torn into pieces
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 5 tablespoons finely grated Parmigiano-Reggiano

3. Mashed potatoes

You’ll need: 

  • 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1- to 2-inch chunks
  • ½ to 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2-4 tablespoons (¼ to ½ stick) butter
  • 1 egg yolk (optional)

4. Sweet potato casserole

You’ll need: 

  • 4 pounds sweet potatoes (6 potatoes)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon minced canned chipotle chiles in adobo sauce, with seeds, such as Goya
  • 1 tablespoon adobo sauce (from the can of chiles)
  • ¼ cup pure Grade A maple syrup
  • 4 tablespoons (½ stick) unsalted butter, diced
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper

5. A veggie casserole

You’ll need: 

  • 1 (2-pound) butternut squash, peeled, seeds removed and discarded, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ½ yellow onion, diced
  • 1 ear of corn or ½ cup frozen corn kernels
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ cup pecans, lightly toasted and chopped
  • 1 cup shredded gruyère (about 4 ounces)

6. Pumpkin dessert

You’ll need: 

  • Four 8-ounce packages cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • One 15-ounce can pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

For the crust 

  •  2 slices reduced-sodium bacon
  • 10 ounces gingersnap cookies (about 4 cups)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
