5 things to binge-watch this Thanksgiving weekend

These guys are more fun than your family.

Thanksgiving is over. Black Friday is over. It's time to sit back, relax, grab some leftovers and binge-watch your little hearts out.

If you're not spending your entire weekend watching Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life (or you already finished it), we have some suggestions for shows and movies you can watch with family and friends. Or you can watch up in the guest room alone to get away from them all.

If you want something light and lovely: Lovesick

The British romantic sitcom used to be called Scrotal Recall, but now it has a name you can actually say to your parents. Despite its first unfortunate name, the comedy is a delightful portrait of a man and his romantic relationships, after he discovers he has an STD and has to contact his former partners. It's not about sex so much as it is about the people with whom we choose to live our lives.

Stream Lovesick on Netflix.

If you want to stir the pot a little bit: Catastrophe

Catastrophe is also a perfectly lovely British sitcom, but where Lovesick goes for the sentimental, Catastrophe goes for the gut punch. The show, which was created by and stars comedians Rob Delaney and Sharon Horgan, follows a mature pair that accidentally gets pregnant during a vacation fling and decides to give commitment a try. It's one of the most realistic portraits of a couple working hard to stay together, and it's downright hilarious.

Stream Catastrophe on Amazon.

If you want to gossip with your relatives: Suits

What better dinner-table conversation is there for you and your family than Prince Harry's love life? The younger British prince has a new girlfriend, American actress Meghan Markle. Markle is best known for the USA show, which follows a con artist posing as a lawyer at a top NYC firm. It's the type of blue- sky USA show that works for a big group, and has the added bonus of helping you get to know Markle.

Stream Suits on Amazon.

If you need something to watch with your dad: Top Gun

Finding something that everyone will agree to watch can be tough, but your family can probably all agree on hanging out with Maverick. Top Gun has the action, comedy  and romance to please most members of your family, plus there's that sequel on the horizon. Since the movie is leaving Netflix on Dec. 1, this may be your last weekend to watch.

Stream Top Gun on Netflix.

If you need something to watch with your mom: When Harry Met Sally

Fighter pilots not appealing to everyone in the family? Go for a safer pick with When Harry Met Sally, the classic rom-com that will please everyone. Well, except when you all get kind of uncomfortable in the "I'll have what she's having" scene.

Stream When Harry Met Sally on Hulu.
