After Alec Baldwin's Trump-heavy cold open on Saturday Night Live, a surprise Tina Fey cameo was the perfect palate cleanser.

Baldwin's 30 Rock co-star beamed into Felicity Jones' opening monologue in the form of a Princess Leia-style hologram, in honor of Jones' starring turn in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

"Oh my god, Tina Fey! You're in a headscarf! Are you a Star Wars princess?" Jones said.

"No, I just bought this at Eileen Fisher, they have amazing deals after the holidays," Fey replied.

Fey, an SNL veteran, gave the first-time host some advice.

"I hear you’re hosting SNL...All you need to do is go out there and do your best. Don't worry about what the reviews say," she said.

"Does this show get reviewed?" Jones asked Fey, who responded with a Trump jab.

"Yes, way too much. Also, no matter how it goes, the President of the United States is going to say it’s sad and overrated," she joked. "Yeah, the president! It's fine, no one cares."

Fey also explained to Jones several of her cast members' quirks.

"I've only met Leslie (Jones) once, and she called me Downton Abbey," Jones said.

"That's a term of endearment, she calls anyone that who is white and British," Fey explained. "And remember, if all else fails, you should know that back in Season 35, I wrote a fatal flaw in the system: if you take out Kenan Thompson, the studio will explode."

Fey's hologram had one last message, for Jones' Star Wars extended family member J.J. Abrams. "You must get this message to J.J. Abrams," she said. "Tell him I am technically available to act in films."

After all, this isn't the first time Fey has engaged in a little Star Wars cosplay.
