Taran Killam shows off his new 'Hamilton' threads

All hail the (new) king.

Former Saturday Night Live cast member Taran Killam is ready to go for his new gig, playing King George III in Hamilton on Broadway (and we think he'll be pretty great). Killam takes over the royal part in the hit musical on Tuesday, and at the very least we know his costume fitting went well. The actor posted a picture done up in King George's royal best on Monday, captioning it, "King me. Tomorrow's forecast: Reign. #Ramilton."

Killam is the fifth actor to take on the role since the musical debuted. He follows Brian d’Arcy James, Jonathan Groff, Andrew Rannells and Rory O’Malley, who took his final bow on Sunday.
