Jennifer Lopez, Alex Rodriguez visit Joanna and Chip Gaines in 'twilight zone of hot people'

Forget diamonds. Alex Rodriguez gave Jennifer Lopez something better for an anniversary gift: a trip to Waco, Texas.

The newly engaged couple hung out with Joanna and Chip Gaines in the former HGTV stars' hometown over the weekend, during an epic meet-up that we didn't know we needed.

"ARod Corp hits Capital Gaines in Waco, Texas," Rodriguez, 43, wrote alongside an image of the power couples posing together in the yard on Saturday.

Lopez, 49, who effortlessly showcased her rock-hard abs in a cropped top, commented: "Best anniversary gift ever!"

Chip, 44, shared a similar picture on Instagram, writing, "What is going on!?? This is like a Twilight zone of hot people. Then there's me, looking as usual.. disheveled. Thanks for coming to town."

Lopez is a huge fan of the Gaines family, admitting to Ellen DeGeneres in February that she's "obsessed with 'Fixer Upper.' "

"My sister got me her new book. I'm like obsessed with her. I'm like in bed every night looking at it like, 'Oh, my God, this is so amazing,' " Lopez gushed.

In celebration of their two-year anniversary as a couple, the former baseball star surprised the "Medicine" singer with a priceless FaceTime session with Joanna.

"Come our anniversary, he's like ... I want you to do a meeting," Lopez said. "He loves to do meetings, and I hate meetings. ... And he goes: 'I want you to do this meeting with us for this architect for the house.' "

She continued: "He opens up the FaceTime, and it's Joanna Gaines. And I was like 'Ah! Are you kidding? Hi!' I totally fangirled out. And she was like 'Hi,' just like she is on the show, so cool with her long hair. And like 'Oh, my God, are you kidding me right now?' And I'm looking at him like, 'You listened to me. Like, I love you.' It really blew me away. That to me is more romantic than anything."

It's not clear why the couples met up, but it may have something to do with Joanna, 41, agreeing to help Lopez renovate their fixer-upper property in Malibu.

"(Joanna) was like, 'I don't do things, but I will help you with this and that.' And I was like, 'Yes, just help me, just a little bit! You don't even have to come out here, I know you have the baby. How's the baby?' " Lopez told DeGeneres.
