Noah Centineo to play He-Man in 'Masters of the Universe' reboot

Meet your new He-Man: Noah Centineo.

Hollywood has decided Noah Centineo has the power – or, at least the body to rock He-Man's harness and furry undies. He'll just have to see his hairdresser or the wig people about replicating his character's blond Prince Valiant 'do.

On Monday, the "Perfect Date" star (and casting director's ideal choice to play a young Mark Ruffaloconfirmed to "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon that he will play the superhero from the 1980s cartoon in the upcoming live-action reboot of "Masters of the Universe."

"I have an affinity for being in my underwear," the Calvin Klein model laughed, as he talked about the role from the comic books, action figures and cult-favorite animated series, which ran from 1983 to 1985.

Centineo, 22, will be the second actor to play He-Man and his mild-mannered alter-ego, Prince Adam, on the big screen. "Rocky" star Dolph Lundgren, who reprised his role as Ivan Drago in 2018's "Creed II," played him in a campy 1987 live-action movie "Masters of the Universe," though his He-Man looked more like Conan the Barbarian than the cartoon version.

Sony has yet to announce who will play the other royals and inhabitants of Eternia – or more importantly He-Man's nemesis, Skeletor, who was played by Frank Langella ("The Americans") in the 1987 movie.
