Blake Shelton, Drake lead iHeartRadio Awards performers

Blake Shelton and Shakira perform at the 49th annual Academy of Country Music Awards  on April 6 in Las Vegas.

Thought there were enough award shows already? NBC and Clear Channel beg to differ.

Blake Shelton, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell, Pitbull, Shakira and Thirty Seconds to Mars will perform at the first iHeartRadio Music Awards, airing live from Los Angeles May 1 (NBC, 8 p.m. ET/PT). Clear Channel Media and Entertainment will present the three-hour broadcast, which will originate from Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium, with some performances being staged in more intimate venues like The Roxy and the Hotel Café.

Ariana Grande, Luke Bryan, Arcade Fire and Ed Sheeran also are slated to perform.

Finalists for the iHeartRadio Music Awards were announced March 26. Since then, fans have cast more than 55 million votes via Facebook and Twitter, with the best-collaboration category being the most popular.
