Carly Rae Jepsen named Billboard's Rising Star

• The 'Call Me Maybe' singer will be honored on Nov. 30
• She'll join Katy Perry, who has been named Woman of the Year.
• Previous recipients include Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga.

You probably know all of the words to her catchy Call Me Maybe song. And you've probably seen the various YouTube spoofs.

And now breakout star Carly Rae Jepsen is being honored by Billboard, which has named her its Rising Star of 2012.

She'll receive the award at Billboard's annual Women in Music event on Nov. 30 in New York. She'll join Katy Perry, who has been named Woman of the Year.

In a statement Thursday, Jepsen says she was influenced by many female artists and hopes to be an inspiration to aspiring musicians. Jepsen says she is truly honored by the award.

Previous recipients include Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga.
