Kanye West parties in NYC

• Kanye West performed at the Samsung Galaxy Note II launch Wednesday night
• The night before, he stepped out for H&M
• Both evenings, Kim Kardashian's other half flew solo

And the butterfly of New York's fall social season?

None other than Kanye West, who has been turning up at some major events this week.

On Wednesday, Kim Kardashian's better half attended the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note II at Skylight at Moynihan Station, along with a Versace-clad Jennifer Hudson. West performed All Of The Lights, Stronger and Clique. And even though he's now a ubiquitous tabloid presence thanks to his Kardashian romance, West has done very little press himself of late and has not addressed rumors that he's planning on popping the question to Kardashian.

So was West just shilling for a major corporate player and going through the motions on stage? Not quite. Per the Huffington Post, the rapper put on a proper show for the attendees.

And on Tuesday, he joined such Gotham fashion mainstays as Julianne Moore and Sarah Jessica Parker to launch H&M's collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela at 5 Beekman Street in the financial district. The duds hit stores Nov. 15.
