Hulk Hogan settles sex tape lawsuit

Hulk Hogan has settled his sex tape lawsuit.

The wrestling star reached an agreement in the civil lawsuit he had filed against Florida radio shock jock Bubba the Love Sponge (real name Todd Alan Clem) in connection with the release of a sex tape featuring Hogan and Clem's ex-wife, Heather Clem.

Hogan said in a lawsuit earlier this month that he had consensual sex with his best friend's wife, Heather Clem, six years ago in the Clems' home, but he didn't know he was being videotaped.

Following the settlement, Clem issued a public apology to Hogan, which Clem read on Monday during his radio show, and will do so again on Tuesday, reports E! News.

The terms of the settlement are confidential, according to AP.

"I am now convinced that Hulk Hogan was unaware of the presence of the recording device in my bedroom," Clem said. "I am convinced [Hulk Hogan] had no knowledge that he was being taped...It is my belief that Hulk is not involved, and has not ever been involved, in trying to release the video, or exploit it, or otherwise gain from the video's release in any way."

Hogan's lawyer, David R. Houston, said Hulk is "pleased that Mr. Clem finally stated the truth and apologized for his false statements."

Meanwhile, Hogan's $100 million civil lawsuit against Gawker Media, which posted excerpts of the sex tape on its website, is still pending.
