Stars, particularly those in the New York area, have jumped on Twitter to share their thoughts about Frankenstorm.

UPDATE: 3:30 p.m. ET:

Rosie O'Donnell was tweeting on Monday from her Nyack home, writing: "ok never ever have seen the wind like this ...... crazy." She instagrammed a photo of her smashed-up dock.

Today she offered an update: "All is well here by us - damage to the dock and flooded craft house - all fixable."

Melissa Joan Hart tweeted from her Westport, Conn. home yesterday: "Moving the family to the basement. Too many giant trees falling. Stay safe everyone. God Bless." She followed up with: "Thanks for all the love and prayers. We are all good just gonna be without power for a long time. I think Halloween for my boys is a bust."

Robin Roberts, who has been holed up in her New York apartment recovering from her bone marrow transplant, tweeted: "Proud to be from MS Coast. Been through my share of storms. Fortunate my NYC apt bldg fared well during #Sandy. Prayers for all effected. X0."

Star Jones sounded wrung out by the storm: "Overwhelmed by #Sandy devastation to the city I love and the damage suffered by our neighbors due to this disaster. Extending prayers..."

Jersey Shore star JWoww, who has been in Los Angeles promoting the show, posted a photo with the tweet: "Just was shown a picture of my town (Toms River) ... So sorry for everyone that was affected by sandy."
