Britney Spears is close to joining the celebrity literati — you know, the shelf space occupied by such esteemed scribes as Snooki, Lauren Conrad and the Kardashians.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the pop star is in talks to write a novel for HarperCollins imprint It Books — a roman a clef that would fictionalize the X Factor judge's life experiences.

Will her days of stepping out in dueling denim with Justin Timberlake make it in? Her 55-hour marriage? Her head-shaving episode? Her umbrella joust with the paparazzi?
