Kim Kardashian wows at Marine Corps Ball

Mission accomplished.

Looking radiant in red, Kim Kardashian went to the ball —and had a ball, it appears — in Greenville, N.C. on Thursday night, reports E!.

"Just left the Marine Corps Ball," tweeted Kim. "Thanks to all of the marines I had the opportunity to meet tonight ! Thank you for all that you do!"

Kim's date, according to E!: Sgt. Martin Gardner, who was on the event planning committee. He extended the invitation months ago and the two were able to keep it a secret until yesterday.

Even a rainy night couldn't dampen the fun, reported local CBS TV station, WNCT9.
