Snooki cries at Jersey Shore damage

Snooki was front and center for Thursday's hour-long Restore the Shorespecial/telethon on MTV to help rebuild Seaside Heights, N.J., setting for the hit Jersey Shore reality show.

She was joined by JWoww, Pauly D and other MTV stars for the special hosted by MTV News' Sway Calloway. They answered phones and urged viewers to pledge to help rebuild the area devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

One of the most moving moments came with footage of Snooki flying over the shore in a helicopter, surveying the damage.

"Oh my god!" Snooki gasped, tears starting to fall as she flew over the boardwalk that she came to know so well. "This really sucks. The whole pier is just gone. It's really sad. The roller coaster that I always go on is in the water." She added, "We have so many memories here and everything's just destroyed."

And, she said in typical Snooki fashion: "Sandy, you little bi---, you tried to destroy us. But we're going to build it better and stronger than it ever was."
