Mariah Carey dazzles at teen awards show

Sometimes the carpet isn't red — orange? — but Mariah Carey can look pretty stunning on any old carpet. She proved it again Saturday night at the TeenNick Halo Awards at the Hollywood Palladium.

The Nickelodeon awards show, which honors teenagers who have done good deeds, was created by Mariah's husband, Nick Cannon and he was the host, so she was there to back him up.

Halo stands for Helping and Leading Others. The show airs Monday night on Nickelodeon.

Maybe the teens who were being awarded should have been the focus of the camera flashes, but, well, Mariah can be so distracting.

Especially when she's dressed in a Balenciaga dress, Gucci shoes, and Paolo Costagli jewelry, according to Just Jared.

It was a curvy sight, enough to forget for a moment that nasty feuding last month between Carey and fellow American Idol judge Nicki Minaj.

But no doubt we'll be reminded of all that again when Idol returns Jan. 16 on Fox.
