Aretha Franklin has a wardrobe slip at the White House

Aretha Franklin arrives at the Kennedy Center Honors Performance and Gala.

On Monday, Aretha Franklin's representative said that when the Respect singer entered the White House for an event connected with the Kennedy Center Honors, she suffered a bit of a wardrobe malfunction. The upper half of her pink gown — with its white beaded bodice — wasn't hooked properly and partially slid down to her waist, exposing "her foundation-wearing girls in all their Victoria's Secret glory!"

Fortunately, Franklin's escort for the evening acted quickly, guiding her to a tented area and helping fasten the gown so she could party on with President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama, 2012 honorees Buddy Guy, Dustin Hoffman, David Letterman, Natalia Makarova and the members of Led Zeppelin.
