Brooke Burke-Charvet counts down to thyroid surgery

Last week, Dancing With the Stars host Brooke Burke-Charvet told her Facebook fans, "Wish I was back in the Ballroom. Dr appts all day today. I'm getting ready."

Ready for her thyroid surgery. Last month, Burke-Charvet shared that she had received a cancer diagnosis from doctors and would need to have surgery to remove a nodule.

On Sunday, she tweeted: "Count down 2 my surgery now... I'm going nuts thinking about laying around 4 my recovery. Not good at that! grateful every day for my health."

She thanked fans for their concern, saying, "I'm amazed at how many women have stopped me In the past month to share their thyroid scars & stories. They're beauty marks & so reassuring."
