No wedding bells just yet for Kate Hudson

The next time a celebrity is asked about an impending wedding, take their answer with a big, chunky grain of salt.

"I think until the day we get married, the answer is going to be, 'We have no intention right now of getting married.' And then you'll find out we got married," says Kate Hudson, who's engaged to Muse musician Matthew Bellamy.

"We have an idea. It's starting to formulate but it's a timing thing. But honestly, right now, Matt is touring. Ryder is in school. I'm working," says the mother of Ryder, 7, and Bing, 1.

Hudson was in New York promoting the makeup brand Almay, of which she's the face. "I use it, which is the best part. I don't feel like a fraud," she says.

How many potions and lotions does she have in her bathroom? "I have quite a bit. I don't use all of it. You buy makeup because it's fun but you have your staples and for me, it's the most natural-looking makeup. Sometimes you end up buying some sort of crazy yellow eye shadow, but I end up using the same stuff. I'm so loyal to specific products. The bronzers are great," she says.

But seriously, her skin looks incredible. "I'm wearing some Smart Shade, which means there are some things covered. I'm trying not to stay in the sun anymore. It bums me out. The sun makes me really happy. I'm really trying to stick on the SPF," she says.

After a short cocktail party at the NoMad hotel in Chelsea, Hudson was getting on a plane and heading back to L.A. and her boys. "I sacrifice being exhausted. I came in last night late and I'm leaving after this. I'm gone for less than 24 hours. That's what you do," she says.
