  • Rachel Weisz is shocked by her out-of-nowhere nomination for 'The Deep Blue Sea'

Rachel Weisz is just as surprised as everyone else by her nomination for The Deep Blue Sea.

"I'm genuinely pretty shocked. It wasn't even on my radar, or anyone else's. I'm thrilled. I'm happy! Everyone is surprised!" she says with a laugh.

Weisz is in Los Angeles, where a phone call woke her up in her hotel room. "I was kind of mad. I didn't order an alarm call," she says, but heard the good news instead.

"I'm going to celebrate in New York with my husband when I get back," she says, referring to Daniel Craig, who's also having a great year with Skyfall.

She's on the West Coast to promote her fable Oz: The Great and Powerful. So, does being in the movie score her major points with her son Henry? "I have to wait and see what my son thinks of it. He sets the standard pretty high. We'll see if we can beat Paranorman," says Weisz.
