Shakira still pregnant, birth story a prank by boyfriend

Shakira's hips don't lie, but her boyfriend, Gerard Pique, apparently does.

To be fair it was just a prank, but it had the couple receiving congratulatory messages from around the world.

On Thursday, Pique tweeted that Shakira had given birth to the couple's son.

Turns out, Thursday was Dia de los Inocentes, Spain's Day of the Holy Innocents, similar to April Fool's Day in the U.S.

Pique, 25, confirmed the prank Friday with a follow-up tweet, which translated means "It has a name! His name is Innocent! Happy April Fool's Day to all!"

Shakira, 35, announced her pregnancy in September. She's set to join NBC's The Voice as a mentor/judge when the series returns in March.
