Fans are buzzing about reports that an updated Mrs. Doubtfire is in the works.

The Hollywood Reporter says Elf writer David Berenbaum is at work on the script as we speak. And Fox 2000 studio is planning to reunite director Chris Columbus and actor Robin Williams for the film.

If you never saw the original, it stars Williams as a struggling actor and divorced father of three who, in order to be closer to his children, disguises himself as a Scottish nanny, Euphegenia Doubtfire, so that he can care for them. Sally Field and Pierce Brosnan also starred.

Are you dying to see Williams put on that wig again?

Or maybe you've never watched the original 1993 hit? It made more than $400 million at the box office and snagged two Golden Globes.

While talking about the upcoming movie in the Orange Room on the Todayshow Thursday morning, Tamron Hall confessed that she had never seen it.

"Go watch it now!" shouted Carson Daly, prompting her to dash off the set.

One person who does NOT sound at all interested in the sequel is Mara Wilson, who played one of the cute kids affected by the split.

"Sequels generally suck unless they were planned as part of a trilogy or series. I think Doubtfire ended where it needed to end," she tweeted.

"I'm glad I had the chance to be in it, and I'm proud of what we did, but I don't see how we could do it again."

And, she added, "There are many, many reasons I don't want to be in Mrs. Doubtfire 2. But they haven't even asked me (yet), so no need to worry."
