'Lindsay' finale: Tears, fears and a miscarriage

The two final episodes of Lindsay Lohan's docu-series, Lindsay, for Oprah Winfrey's OWN aired Sunday night.

What did you miss? More of the same that we've seen so far — Lindsay's late, Lindsay's in her apartment, Lindsay's being bothered by paparazzi.

But we also saw Lohan's life start to get back on track.

And she dropped the news that she had a miscarriage during filming of the OWN show.

Here's how it all went:

Episode 7:

Lindsay films an appearance on Billy Eichner's Billy on the Street show.

She's got a 1 p.m. call time and she's not allowing the OWN production crew to show her getting ready. Lindsay finally comes down from her apartment at 3:05 p.m. She's smoking and complaining of a chest cold. She arrives at the set, where she and Billy destroy a car because they're so upset that How I Met Your Mother is ending. "It was nice to be part of something different," Lindsay tells the cameras.

Lindsay goes to Art Basel in Miami.

She plans the trip while smoking in bed, looking at her phone and talking to cameras about how many people will be there. She asks her assistant, Matt Harrell (yes, he's still wearing his three-piece suit) to go get a bunch of bathing suits. He does and drops them on the floor. Her apartment is a mess.

She gets out of bed and starts to pack. At 6 p.m. her hairstylist arrives to put in hair extensions.

Lindsay travels to Miami, but the OWN production crew doesn't go along. On the second day in Miami, reports surface of an altercation at the house where she was staying. Her assistant explains that Lindsay "got blamed" for Barron Hilton getting in a fight with some of Lohan's friends.

Once she's home again, OWN director Amy Rice asks about the incident. "I'm not going to explain," Lindsay says. "My name was involved in it. It is what it is. ... It's really frustrating because I didn't have any part in it." She writes a statement for her website but her team talks her out of posting it.

Her assistant explains that she's on a "night schedule." She doesn't have "that much going on" so she's hanging out with friends.

We see her at a club. She talks about the struggle to stay sober. "I like literally have this flash of all this (stuff) I put myself through and I'm like, "Is this really worth it?'"

Lindsay does community service back at the school. The kids flock around her. She's happy; they're happy. "I feel better being more productive," she says.

Lindsay prepares for Jingle Ball, the sold-out holiday concert at Madison Square Garden. It'll be her largest public appearance since leaving rehab 137 days earlier. She's slated to introduce Miley Cyrus. "I like doing public appearances," Lindsay says. "I think that it's always nice because it's a way to connect with people that support you — such as fans. At the end of the day it's still a blessing and I'm grateful for it."

On the way in, fans yell for her. She stops to pose for photos. A friend, Carly Berlin, is with her taking pictures of everything. Lindsay's wearing shorts, a big shirt that says Same Old Chic and thigh-high black boots.

As we see her hit the red carpet, photographers yelling at her, she explains that she was "meant" to be in showbiz. Her mom was a Rockette, her mom's mom "did radio." And when she doesn't have that, "it's like I'm not feeding what I was meant to be given, what God gave me as a child, so that can make you go crazy and that's essentially what it did to me. I got really bored, really restless. And in that you act out. I think that's, you know, being human."

Lindsay hopes to meet with Miley before the show, but it's not happening. She tweets her, but doesn't get a response.

Lindsay takes the stage and tells the crowd of Miley: "In the last year we've seen a whole new side of her, which I can relate to. This is a girl who's not afraid to be herself —- which I really respect and appreciate. She wants to do what she wants to do and she does it —- and we love her for it."

Lindsay says she wasn't paid for the appearance. "I did it because I love music. I love people. And it's nice to go out and have fun." She adds, "It's a great feeling interacting with my fans."

Lindsay has a lunch meeting with film producer Hilary Shor. On the way there, Lindsay says, "I'm tired of not getting cast in movies." She sees "all these other actresses ... And you know what? I have to do something, whatever it takes to get that back — and be happy. ... I just want to be making movies and starring in them and producing them and, years from now, directing them."

They talk about a movie calledInconceivable.

"I've adored her for a long time," Hilary tells the OWN cameras of Lindsay. "What people forget is just how talented she is."

Lindsay says, "I'm so excited I want to start filming tomorrow."

Episode 8 — The finale

Lindsay is interviewed by Jared Leto for a project he's doing about Los Angeles. She tells him she "can't predict the future."

She's feeling happy to be settled in New York, finally. "It's really creative and I feel really at home here," Lindsay says. Her friends Gavin Doyle and Carly Berlin come over to cook with her.

Next gig: The cover of Nylon Singapore magazine. She arrives on time for the photo shoot! "Such a pro!" gushes the photographer.

Next, she meets with literary agent Scott Waxman to discuss a possible book deal. "I have a lot of things to say," she explains. He urges her to tell her story. She says she has lots of journals. He gets excited. "This is like a multimillion-dollar book," he says, adding they can have a deal in two weeks. He tells the OWN cameras, "It's up to Lindsay to sit down and do some writing."

Lindsay and her brother, Michael Lohan Jr., are working on a karaoke app called Just Sing It. Lindsay goes to an event to help launch it.

Lots of champagne is being poured around her. "People are going to drink when they're around me ... My friends are allowed to have drinks," she says. "It doesn't mean they are a bad influence."

Next: Lindsay goes to Shanghai for the Sohu Fashion Awards. "I love traveling," she explains, but she was "terrified" about receiving the award. The day after, she does a fashion shoot for a magazine. "I had a lot of fun."

Next: Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, in January. She's at a rented condo where there's a no-smoking sign. She's smoking.

Producer Randall Emmett drops by. He tells her he did some "fact-checking today" and she's a "half a billion-dollar box office star. That's pretty legit."

They announce Lindsay's attachment to Inconceivable at a news conference. "I fell in love with the script ..." she says, and adds in an interview afterward, "I'm itching to get back on set."

Suddenly, Lindsay's assistant, Matt, is packing his bags to go back to L.A. for a while. Stories surface saying he quit because she's not paying him, now that the docu-series is over. "That's not true," he says.

Matt says their relationship is "complicated" and they can't discuss it because of a confidentiality agreement. Six weeks later, Matt returns to help Lindsay do press for the docu-series, including David Letterman's show. The appearance makes Lindsay really happy. "I feel, like, invigorated from it. It's strange how things fall into place in your life when you're in a good place."

After spending the entire docu-series focusing on getting settled in her apartment, Lindsay finds out that her landlord wants to sell the apartment. She jokes that she'll make sure it doesn't happen.

And finally, that list of lovers pops up. She explained to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live last week that it was part of her Betty Ford program. "It's your sexual inventory," she says on the docu-series. "That was really personal, to my sponsor." She says when she was moving, there were two people there who took a photo of the list. "I'm pretty sure who and they're not in my life anymore). I don't care bout me. I care about the people that are involved with other people because it's really unfortunate and disrespectful. ... That's not something I'd show anyone except my sponsor, who is also a very well-known person."

When asked about the series now that it has aired, she says, "I cried so many times." Lindsay also explains why she so often shunned the cameras. "When the camera's on, I'm on, and if I know I'm not capable of being on, that's why I'd say I can't be filmed today. "

And then she drops some news: "I had a miscarriage for those two weeks I took off. It's a very long story. ... Mentally, that messes with you." She doesn't explain any more about it. There's no clue as to who the father might be.

Lindsay goes on to say, "Watching this series, I just know how I felt at that moment and I can relate to that girl. It sounds kind of crazy. I'm like oh my god, this is really sad. Who's helping her?"

And then she gets emotional. "Here's the thing, even if it's not my intention to lose everything I've worked for, that's what this addiction will do to me." Lindsay starts crying, "You guys love it when I cry ... It's a really (bleeped) up disease and it's really scary," she says, wiping away tears.

But she's positive. "Now I'm doing the movie. We start in June. I'm in a good place. I don't want to mess it up. I'm happy."
