British actor Rupert Everett, 54, is known for his florid opinions about his fellow celebrities, and he shared a few with Mail Online in a new interview published over the weekend.

Beyonce? She's got "elephant ankles" and talks about marriage "like no other woman had ever been through it." Also, "Her and Jay-Z live like a modern-day Greek god and goddess. It's unbelievable."

Simon Cowell? "What he has done to the British music scene is completely devastating."

One Direction? "I do like One Direction, though. Particularly Harry Styles."

The royal family? "I love William, I love Harry, I like and agree with a lot of what Prince Charles says and I feel we would be better off being ruled by the Queen than by David Cameron."
