Singer Peabo Bryson, known for Disney hits, stable after heart attack

R&B singer Peabo Bryson is in stable condition after suffering a heart attack Saturday morning, according to The Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly.

Bryson's rep told the news outlets that he is "awake and responsive" after the "mild" attack.

"Both his medical team and family are optimistic for a speedy recovery," the statement continued.

Bryson is known for hits such as “Beauty & the Beast” and “A Whole New World."

The 68-year-old with the silky tenor has had numerous hits, including “If You’re Ever in My Arms Again” and “Tonight I Celebrate My Love” with Roberta Flack.
