Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together
Various networks, Friday, 8 ET/PT

The NBC-Universal networks, including NBC, CNBC, MSNBC, Syfy and USA, host this one-hour telethon to raise money for the Red Cross' hurricane relief efforts. Among those expected to perform are Christina Aguilera, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen and Sting.

Saturday Night Live
NBC, Saturday, 11:30 ET/PT

While most shows would probably be best off leaving the presidential election alone, you'd expect SNL to go election-wild this close to the big day — and you'd hope the writers would be at their best. And if the timing alone were not reason for hope, there's the host: Louis C.K., who has emerged as one of TV's brightest (or, maybe, darkest) comic voices.

The Good Wife
CBS, Sunday, 9:30 ET/PT

Broadcast's best drama keeps piling on the guests, as newbies Amanda Peet and Brian Dennehy join returners Maura Tierney and Denis O'Hare for an episode directed by star Josh Charles. Looking over that list, you really do have to think the show has reached its guest limit, which is yet one more reason it should let poor Marc Warren go. Well, that and the fact that his Nick is perhaps the worst-written, most ill-conceived and least convicingly performed character this otherwise sterling series has ever concocted.
