"Dear White People" fans will get to return to Winchester University for another year, as Netflix Thursday renewed the satirical series for a third season.

Fittingly, the news arrived via video from the series narrator, Giancarlo Esposito.

Student activist Samantha White (Logan Browning) becomes the target of racist cyberbullies in the Season 2 premiere of "Dear White People."

First, text filled the gray screen: "Incoming transmission from the Order of X," which is a Winchester University secret society. Then, Esposito appeared and said:

"Now that I have your attention, this message is being delivered to you on behalf of the Order of X. I come with a message of truth. To clarify the false information that's being disseminated around the world today: 'Dear White People' will be returning to Netflix for Season 3. We'll meet you there."

The critically praised series, based on executive producer Justin Simien's 2014 film, follows a group of students of color at "a predominantly white Ivy League university where racial tensions bubble just below the surface."

The second season of "Dear White People" was released last month on Netflix.
