'Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta' star Lori Allen breaks both wrists after tripping on gown

"Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta" star Lori Allen will undergo surgery Friday to repair two broken wrists after taking a nasty fall while filming Season 11 of the reality show.

Allen, who owns the Bridals by Lori boutique that is featured in the TLC series, took a serious tumble after tripping on the train of a wedding gown Wednesday.

"Lori is in a tremendous amount of pain today," her family wrote on Allen's Instagram account Thursday. "It was confirmed today that she broke both of her wrists and has other extensive injuries to her lower right arm. She is immobile which is tough for an active woman like Lori."

Allen's family said she's being treated at an Atlanta area hospital following the terrible fall, adding that they are thankful "her neck is not broken, just very sore."

"Lori's fall could have been so much worse," her loved ones said. "She is a fighter and will come through this with flying colors, just like she conquered breast cancer in 2013."

Taylor tries on a wedding dress with Monte Durham, Lori Allen and an assistant in "Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta."

Allen has starred on "Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta" since the spin-off series premiered on TLC in July 2010. Bridals By Lori is dubbed the "largest full-service bridal salon in the nation," according to TLC, spanning 25,000 square feet and three floors.

She's featured on the show with fashion designer Monte Durham, who "acted quickly to get help" after Allen's fall.

"Please keep her in your prayers during this time," Allen's family said. "We believe in the power of prayer! We will update post-surgery."

This is not the first time Allen has injured her right hand. The television personality revealed in 2014 that she almost cut off her right thumb when she was sliced by a broken vase, prompting two surgeries.

USA TODAY has reached out to TLC for comment.
