Infiniti teases look of new Q60 sports coupe

DETROIT -- Infinitii has released a teaser picture of the Q60 concept of a premium sports coupe that will be displayed at the 2015 North American International Auto Show here in January.

Under the new naming strategy at Infiniti, the Q60 is the replacement for the G37 coupe. The G37 sedan was renamed the Q50.

The Q60 is expected to ride on the new underpinnings that were developed for the Q50 sedan.

The sketch shows the rear-drive coupe has a sleeker and more muscular look and it is expected to share design cues with the rest of the Infiniti family.

The coupe will compete with the Cadillac ATS coupe, BMW 4-Series, Audi A5 and Lexus RC350.

Infiniti is Nissan's luxury brand, based in Hong Kong.
