Apparently executives at Ford's Lincoln luxury brand were so enchanted with the parodies and buzz around its Matthew McConaughey TV ads for its new small crossover SUV that they're coming back for another round.

Only this time, a pair of ads promote the MKZ sedan and its hybrid version instead of the MKC crossover. The new ads air starting New Year's Day.

"The overwhelming response to the MKC campaign sparked truly great awareness for Lincoln," said Andrew Frick, Lincoln group marketing manager, in a statement. "Matthew's natural storytelling ability perfectly complements the Lincoln story as we continue to raise awareness and drive conversation in creative and unexpected ways.

At least in one Lincoln ad, he doesn't do a lot of storytelling. Mostly, he just looks out windows or drives. In the hybrid spot, he starting off by saying itt's "not about hugging trees." It's yet to be seen whether the ads spark another round of parodies, like the one Jim Carrey did on NBC's Saturday Night Live.

Lincoln says the commercials were filmed over two days in Los Angeles by director Nicolas Winding Refn.
