How much is a Tesla Cybertruck EV pickup? Here's a pricing breakdown
The cyber cat is finally out of the faraday bag, as they say. The production form of theTesla Cybertruck electric pickup is here, revealing what we all feared to be true: The single-motor, $39,900 version of the truck is not happening, and it will be much more expensive than many reservation holders expected. Tesla’s truck is currently available in three versions available to pre-order on the company’s website. Here’s what you can expect to pay for each version of the Tesla Cybertruck in 2024.
Tesla Cybertruck Foundation Series - details and price
A “Foundation Series” of the Tesla Cybertruck starts at around $100,000 (in dual-motor, AWD layout). This version includes Tesla’s Full Self-Driving suite, as well as the light bar and some hardware for power sharing with external accessories.
Tesla Cybertruck Rear-Wheel Drive - details
The so-called "Rear-Wheel Drive" trim on the Cybertruck order page mentions that it should get an estimated 250 miles of range on a charge and accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.5 seconds. It also has an expected top speed of 112 mph and a towing capacity of 7,500 pounds.

The rear-wheel drive powertrain Tesla Cybertruck will be available at a purchase price of $60,990, before factoring in any incentives. Tesla says it won’t go on sale until later, likely in 2025.
Tesla Cybertruck All-Wheel Drive - details
The midrangeall-wheel drive electric Tesla truck powertrain improves upon performance with an estimated 340 miles of range per charge, the same 112-mph top speed as the RWD truck, but an improved 0–60-mph acceleration time of 4.1 seconds, thanks to the additional motor driving more wheels for extra grip. This seems to be the so-called Foundation Series spec. It’s makes around 600 horsepower and can tow up to 11,000 pounds. Tesla previously listed a weight of 6,603 pounds for this version of the Cybertruck, and it has 20-inch wheels.

Tesla Cybertruck All-Wheel Drive - price
The upgrade to the dual-motor, all-wheel drive powertrain was initially announced to add about $19,000 over the rear-drive setup, coming in at a cost of $79,990 before any incentives or fees are factored in, as it's now listed on Tesla's website. However, potential owners inform MotorTrend (as of June 2024) that the only two options actually being offered once contacted for configuration by the Tesla team are the Foundation and Cyberbest powertrain layouts, which both cost significantly more than the listed website price for the AWD upgrade (for now). Delivery of the more-expensive AWD units began in 2024.
Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast - details
The top of the Cybertruck range is the so-called triple-motorTesla Cyberbeast model, boasting 320 miles of claimed range with the standard package, or 440 miles with an available extended range setup, a 130-mph top speed, 0 to 60 mph time of 2.6 seconds (subtracting rollout, Tesla notes) and 845 horsepower. It also can tow up to 11,000 pounds. The Cyberbeast has a claimed weight of 6,843 pounds and also comes with 20-inch wheels.

Tesla’s website lists an “estimated” starting price of $99,990 for the so-called Cyberbeast version of the Cybertruck, with deliveries said to be started in 2024. However, prospective owners with access to the order page after placing a deposit inform MotorTrend that the Cyberbest, at least as it's currently configured, actually costs around $120,000.
Tesla Cybertruck Range Extender cost
Theteased Tesla "range extender" option is also listed for the AWD models on some Tesla materials, and Tesla's SVP of powertrains confirmed the extender is a toolbox-sized pack that mounts into the pickup's bed for an unclear amount of increased range (maybe 120 extra miles). Leaked web data suggests the range extender setup could cost as much as $16,000 on top of the purchase price, but we'll have to wait to find out.

The Tesla Cybertruck offers 17.44 inches of ground clearance and up to 120.9 cubic feet of cargo volume. The exterior body's overall height is 70.5 inches with a length of 223.7 inches. Inside the truck there’s an 18.5-inch interior front touchscreen and 9.4-inch touchscreen in the second row, and seating for five (though seating for six was previously teased as a future option).
Tesla Cybertruck options - light bar, tent and spare wheel
Tesla has also teased a light bar upgrade option, and a bed-mounted "Basecamp" inflatable tent setup that's said to include a mattress in the purchase price. The Cybertruck website details that the available integrated light bar can illuminate up to 525 yards ahead of the pickup, the Basecamp tent fits two adults "and pumps up in minutes," and there’s also the option for a bed-mounted, covered spare wheel and tire. The tent, at launch, was reportedly priced at around $3,000, a painted body wrap was listed for $6,500 (or a clear wrap for $5,000), and the spare wheel setup could set you back $1,250.
