We've all been there: You're looking to break up with that pricy cable or satellite TV habit, but don't want to give up the shows and sports you love. Boy, do we have some good news for you: Thanks to the awesome deal that's currently happening at Sling TV, you can give this cable alternative a try to stream all of your favorite channels for just $10 for a full 30 days.

The deal, which is currently available to new customers, allows you to enjoy the first month of service, normally $35, for 71% off to 11:59 p.m. on SaturdayJuly 31. That's down a whole $25 from the original price! Note that you'll have to provide an email address and a credit card to get it.

We tried Sling for a full year and found that while it could get glitchy with the Amazon Fire Stick from time to time, it had great stability with streaming devices that weren't sticks. In short? It's an ideal partner if you already own a Roku device, like the Roku Ultra ($86.79) (which, incidentally, is our favorite streaming device), the Amazon Fire TV cube ($119.99) or another similar media streaming box.The visual style was also a nice departure from the typical TV "guide" format.

We liked Sling's cascading tile interface (once we got used to it!) and stable performance.

You can choose between two different packages during this promotion: Sling Orange, which includes access to sports and family channels, such as ESPN and Nick Jr., or Sling Blue, which leans more heavily into news and entertainment content (think CNN, Fox News Channel in select markets and HGTV).

Not available to watch your favorite show or news program live? You can record up to 200 hours of content via free DVR Plus storage (normally a $5 upgrade.) After the first 30-days, if you decide you want to keep Slinging, you'll be billed at the regular price of $35 thereafter. Not feeling it? Go online to cancel or contact customer service before the second (or any subsequent month) billing cycle kicks in.

If you've been looking for a reason to finally cut the cord, this might just be the deal you've been waiting for.
