It’s that time of year again: Labor Day mattress sales are nearly everywhere to be found. And deals aren’t just available during the first weekend of September—you can score discounted prices now.

At Reviewed, we extensively test mattresses and are all-too-familiar with the fact that they’re not all worth their price tag. But it just so happens that our favorite mattress, the Tuft & Needle Original, is already on sale through September 6.

The full retail price for a queen is just shy of $900, which is cheaper than many other quality mattresses to begin with. And through Labor Day weekend, shoppers can get 10% off the Original mattress. With this discount, a twin rings up for $580.50 and a queen for $805.50. What’s more, the company is offering up to 15% off other products and mattresses.

Tuft & Needle is offering up to 15% off for Labor Day.

The Tuft & Needle Original mattress is firm and offers plenty of support, especially for stomach and back sleepers. It’s made of foam, but it lacks that distinctive sinking-in sensation you get from memory foam mattresses; it feels as though you’re floating above the surface.

While its firmness is one of its biggest selling points, certain folks may view it as a downside. Our tester believes that almost anyone will enjoy sleeping on the bed, though it could be a bit too firm for side sleepers.

In that case, the company makes another mattress that is likely a better option. We’ve yet to try the Mint mattress ourselves, but it includes an additional upper layer that Tuft & Needle claims provides “personalized softness.” The Mint is currently on sale starting at $633.25 for a twin and up to $1,185.75 for a king or California king. A queen size rings up for $1,015.75—saving $179.25 off the retail price.

All Tuft & Needle mattresses come with a solid return policy—you have 100 nights to sleep on the bed and make up your mind. If for any reason the mattress doesn’t work for you, contact the company within that time and it will arrange for a local third party to pick up the mattress from your home.
