Memorial Day grocery and drugstore chains: Aldi, Trader Joe's, Kroger, Walmart, CVS open; Costco closed
Kelly TykoIf you need another pack of hot dogs for your Memorial Day barbecue or another ingredient, you have plenty of options Monday.
The majority of grocery store chains will be open for the federal holiday, which commemorates military personnel who died in service, though some will have reduced hours.
Walmart, Target, Publix, Kroger and Albertsons are open as are drugstore chains, including CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens. But most pharmacies will be closed or operate with limited hours.
Monday is seen as the unofficial start to summer and grilling season. According to the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association, 56% of grill owners plan to fire up the grill this weekend.

But regardless of your zip code, all Costco Wholesale clubs are closed Monday like they are for other holidays, including Easter, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
Natural Grocers also told USA TODAY its stores are closed.
Most large convenience stores, including 7-Eleven, Wawa, Pilot Flying J and Cumberland Farms, will be open, too.
National restaurant chains, including Starbucks, McDonald's, Dunkin' and Chili's, are open, and on-demand services, including Postmates, Grubhub, UberEats and DoorDash will deliver orders Monday for participating local and national restaurants.
