'Today' show to unveil Bush paintings
NBC's Today show unveils a unique art exhibit this morning: George W. Bush's paintings of world leaders. None of the subjects — which reportedly include Tony Blair, Vladimir Putin and the Dalai Lama — have seen their portraits, Bush says in an interview with daughter and Today correspondent Jenna Bush Hager. "I think they're going to be, 'Wow. George Bush is a painter,'" the former president said.
Economists forecast sunny jobs report
Economists expect a government report today to show strong job growth last month after adverse weather held down payroll gains most of the winter. Many forecasts anticipate the Labor Department will report the most monthly job gains since November. Many Americans who stayed home because of cold and stormy weather from December through February were likely back on the job in March, and employers who put off hiring should have brought on new employees, economists say.
