NBA to hold news conference on Sterling investigation

The NBA will hold a 2 p.m. ET news conference on Tuesday in New York City to make an announcement about its investigation involving Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling. An audio recording was released over the weekend of a conversation between a man, alleged to be Sterling, talking with his girlfriend and making several racist statements. It set off a firestorm of response from NBA players, former players and owners.

Justices to rule on cellphone searches without warrants

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court will look at whether or not police, without a warrant, can look through the cellphones of people they arrest. The cellphone cases may be a precursor to more expansive and potentially explosive high court inquiries. Among them: an examination of the National Security Agency's phone and computer surveillance methods, on which two federal district courts already have diverged.

White House to issue guidelines on fighting sexual assault on campus
