An officer and a gentleman... at 5-years-old

Neda Farshbaf
Humankind, USA Today
Officer Oliver relaxes on his bike and enjoys a doughnut while on break.

Oliver, 5, wants to be a cop when he grows up.  For now, he polices his neighborhood, helping those in need, looking for bad guys, and scanning speeding cars with his radar gun.

His mother, Brandi, says that Oliver is steadfast on living his life as a police officer. He asked for a uniform in Christmas of 2015.  Santa obliged and now Oliver wears the uniform every day. In fact, he wears his uniform so often that mom has had to buy the same outfit several times.

Officer Oliver, as he likes to be called, visits nursing homes in his neighborhood where he hands out flowers and hugs. He also frequents his local precinct with cookies for his fellow officers.

With a real radar gun and a miniature police motorbike who wouldn’t take this little guy seriously? We salute you Officer!
