Missing, pregnant woman found dead in a car

Aubrey Andrews, who is pregnant, has been missing since Dec. 6, 2014, from the Sacramento area.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A pregnant woman who had been reported missing was found dead Monday in a car in a parking lot in a suburb of Sacramento.

On Wednesday Sacramento police identified Aubrey Andrews, 20, as the deceased person found in the car. The Sacramento County Coroner's Office said Andrews' fetus did not survive. She had been nine-months pregnant when she was reported missing for over a week.

The coroner's office said a cause of death has not been determined and the autopsy is not complete. Sacramento police said Tuesday that foul play wasn't suspected.

Andrews was last seen at about 10 p.m. local time Dec. 6 in her white 4-door Toyota Prius near her home on the 5900 block of Jacinto Avenue. Her car was found by Elk Grove police Monday night near the 8400 block of Elk Grove Boulevard.

Andrews' family told police she was upset when they last had contact with her. A former neighbor, who didn't want to be identified, said it was not like Andrews, the mother of a three-year-old, to get up and leave.

"Aubrey was a very very nice outgoing friendly person, got along with everybody. She was never known to do anything like this- to get up and disappear like that. Especially, leaving her baby. Her baby was her main priority," said the former neighbor.
