Two men attack and rob school bus driver in front of students, as seen in video

DETROIT— A Detroit man has been charged with assaulting and robbing a school bus driver, an attack witnessed by several children. 

Reshawn Clark, 29, is facing charges of unarmed robbery, larceny and assault with intent to do great bodily harm for the Jan. 25 incident, according to Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy.

The driver, a 63-year-old Grand Blanc man, stopped his bus at 3:23 p.m. on Detroit's west side when two men climbed aboard and began hitting him, according to police and prosecutors. They robbed him before fleeing. 

About 10 children can be seen in a video clip of the incident that was posted on YouTube. They move to the back of the bus when the attack begins. No kids were injured, according to a Detroit police spokesman.

The driver was treated at a hospital.

Clark was taken into custody Friday, according to the prosecutor's office.

MLive reported that the driver worked for Multicultural Academy, a charter school in Pittsfield Township. A representative for the school's management company did not immediately return a message Monday afternoon. 

At his arraignment in 36th District Court, Clark was given a $50,000 cash/surety bond. His preliminary exam has been scheduled for Feb. 19. 

It was not immediately clear late Monday whether police were still seeking the second suspect.
