NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The state of Tennessee will scrap a $123 million contract to provide mental health care in prisons after evidence surfaced that a top state official privately shared internal documents with the winning bidder.
The decision was announced Monday, more than a month after the USA TODAY network The Tennessean first published a news story about private emails between agency's previous chief financial officer, Wes Landers, and the health care giant Centurion.
