Late into the evening on Jan. 27th, the city of Memphis, Tennessee, collectively exhaled when protestors left the Memphis-Arkansas bridge, ending the hours-long blockade, and marched back to the origin point of the protest at Martyr's Park.
There were no arrests, no tear gas, no property destruction — only acute pain and anguish among those gathered.
